The purpose of the program is to provide funding to support the preservation of federally assisted, permanent rental housing where federal subsidies are at risk of being lost. The program may also be used to preserve existing supportive housing properties. For this purpose, supportive housing means affordable rental housing with links to services necessary for individuals, youth, and families with children to maintain housing stability.
