Our goals can be met only if state housing and homeless coalitions, direct service providers, and residents and other low income people are educated and empowered. Together, we can then hold federal, state and local policy makers accountable for solving the housing problems of low income people.
Our publications, from newsletters Memo to Members and Tenant Talk, to our Advocates’ Guide and Congressional District Profiles, are important education tools for advocates. NLIHC’s Outreach Team engages our members in advocacy through Calls to Action and targeted engagement work. We focus on empowering low income people to become skilled advocates for affordable housing.
