CFPB Guide to Help Non-Tax Filers Apply for Economic Impact Payments

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) released a guide, Helping Consumers Claim the Economic Impact Payment: A Guide for Intermediary Organizations. Millions of people who do not normally file income taxes are eligible to receive a CARES Act Economic Impact Payment (EIP), commonly referred to as a stimulus check. However, many are not aware that they are eligible to receive EIP. The Guide contains step-by-step information for direct service providers and community organizations to help “non-filers” apply to receive EIP before the October 15 deadline.

CFPB will host a webinar about the Guide on Thursday, September 8 at 3 pm ET. Register at: https://bit.ly/31RYyak
