NLIHC members are invited to join our third Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting of the year on September 4 from 4 to 5 pm ET. PAC meetings provide a space for NLIHC members to weigh in on the formation, direction, and implementation of NLIHC’s policy priorities and advocacy activities.
During our third PAC meeting, we will discuss the recently released National Tenants Bill of Rights (NTBOR) and how it can be used to push for state and local tenant protections. Additionally, we will discuss four new NLIHC tenant protections toolkits that provide numerous resources related to just cause eviction laws, rent stabilization policies, code enforcement procedures and habitability standards, and measures limiting rental junk fees. Each toolkit overviews a major tenant protection, details its common components, summarizes state and local examples of the protection, and highlights complementary policies.
Our last PAC meeting of the year will take place on December 4, 2024, from 4 to 5 pm ET.
