NLIHC Welcomes Katie Renzi as Spring 2025 Research Intern!

NLIHC is pleased to welcome Katie Renzi as our Spring 2025 Research Intern! Katie is a senior at the University of North Florida, where she is majoring in sociology, political science, and interdisciplinary studies and serves as president of the Sociology Club. As project manager for UNF’s Jax Rental Housing Project and an intern for Preservation Chicago, she developed an interest in researching the sources of housing inequality. She is eager to find ways to enhance the power of and protections for renters and promote safe, affordable housing for all. After graduation, she plans to pursue a PhD in urban sociology with the aim of studying the impacts of corporate landlords on rental housing and joining academia as a university professor.
