NLIHC is excited to welcome Taytum Wymer as a Fall 2026 Field Strategy & Innovation Intern
Taytum is excited for the opportunity to bring his knowledge of tenant and working-class organization, gentrification, and the ways class-exploitation falls along social and racial lines to the Field Team’s work with individual members and member organizations and helping achieve organizing and policy wins. He recently received his BA in American Studies and Photojournalism from the George Washington University, with a focus on the study of capitalism and social movements.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Taytum’s commitment to the fight for housing justice comes from bearing witness to the violence of gentrification and displacement from an early age. Since then, his experiences in student and tenant organizing in Washington, DC have further cemented the importance of connecting advocacy work with those on the frontlines of the struggle for housing for all. He is especially interested in how the agency of low-income tenants and residents can be supported and strengthened through the work done by NLIHC at the federal level.
