Resources from June 5 Tenant Talk Live Now Available

During this week’s “Tenant Talk Live” call, attendees heard from Dee Ross, the founder and chief operating officer of The Ross Foundation, an Indiana-based non-profit organization. Dee discussed his experience growing up on the Far East Side of Indianapolis, where he saw how a lack of community resources and engagement led to increased crime and drug use and worsening poverty. Now a respected leader in his community, Dee recounted for attendees how he had founded The Ross Foundation and built connections and relationships and discussed ways advocates can push for tenants’ rights in their communities. The next webinar will take place on July 3 at 6 pm ET (3 pm PT). Register for the session here. As always, if you have a topic you would like to propose or want to be a speaker in an upcoming webinar, please e-mail Sid Betancourt at [email protected].

In addition to the July 3 webinar, NLIHC will host a comment party on June 12 at 6 pm ET to help people compose comments for a Request for Input (RFI) regarding federal tenant protections recently issued by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). Learn more and register for the call here.
