Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, announced on January 15 the Committee’s legislative and oversight priorities for the 119th Congress. The announcement states that Chairman Scott will advance policies, like those included in his “ROAD to Housing Act,” to revitalize the housing market. Chairman Scott also states that the Senate Banking Committee will review how overregulation impacts the housing market and make targeted reforms.
