Join Monday’s “Tenant Talk Live” Webinar on Holding Bad Landlords Accountable

NLIHC will host the next session of “Tenant Talk Live” – a webinar with and for renter and resident leaders – on Monday, March 6, at 6 pm ET. March’s webinar will include a discussion with leaders from the Millenia Resistance Campaign – a group of Millenia tenants, community leaders, legal aid experts, and other allies – who went directly to HUD with their demands for better living conditions. NLIHC staff and other national partners will also be providing a brief update on nation-wide tenant protections. Register for Monday’s Tenant Talk Live webinar at: https://bit.ly/361rmy2

For this month’s webinar, NLIHC staff will be joined by Foluke Nunn, a community organizer with the Atlanta Economic Justice Program of the American Friends Service Committee. Foluke focuses on providing support for various tenant associations, tenant campaigns, and home defense fights in metro Atlanta and has been working closely with the Millenia Resistance Campaign, which brought eight specific demands to HUD regarding living conditions in properties owned by the Millenia Companies. Attendees will have a chance to learn more about the campaign and how to get involved in the movement for tenants’ rights.

Remember: Tenant Talk Live would not be possible without tenants like you! We strive to connect and engage with tenants and tenant leaders through our webinars. If you are a low-income tenant and have a topic you would like to propose for an upcoming Tenant Talk Live, or if you would like to participate as a speaker on an upcoming call or webinar, please email: [email protected]
