NLIHC is pleased to welcome Alayna Calabro as a field intern for the fall and winter/spring semesters.
Alayna is pursuing her Master of Social Work with a specialization in community action and social policy at the University of Maryland. As a graduate-student intern with Catholic Charities, Alayna witnessed the detrimental effects of housing instability on her clients’ well-being and gained insights into the broader systems that impacted their access to safe and affordable housing. She is pleased to join the NLIHC field team’s efforts to mobilize supporters to advance equitable housing policy. Alayna earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
