NLIHC is gearing up to release the next issue of Tenant Talk in late April! Published twice a year, Tenant Talk is a newsletter that aims to engage tenants in housing advocacy and to highlight innovative approaches and recent victories in communities throughout the U.S. The upcoming issue, Tenant Talk: The Resilient Work of Tenants: Past, Present, Future, will feature articles on the history of tenant organizing.

In the upcoming edition, readers will learn about the history of the tenant advocacy movement in the U.S. The issue will feature stories about tenant advocacy in the ‘70s and ‘80s, as well as articles by present-day organizers who will discuss their current work and what they are planning. Among other things, articles will discuss the challenges of organizing large groups of people, the struggles involved in displacement, and the common goals of advocates in ensuring everyone has access to decent, affordable housing. The publication will also include updates on NLIHC’s policy work, IDEAS, and new research.

A digital version of the new issue of Tenant Talk will be made available on NLIHC’s website to all NLIHC members and partners – and the general public – for reading or downloading on April 25. Digital copies will be available in Spanish later in the spring.

Anyone interested in receiving a printed version of Tenant Talk through the mail for free should fill out this easy form.
