Join October 30 Training Institute for Tenants & Residents Webinar – Civic Engagement 101: The Power of Advocacy and Voting Rights

Oct 24, 2025

Join Thursday’s (October 30) Training Institute for Tenants & Residents (TITR) webinar on “Civic Engagement 101: The Power of Advocacy and Voting Rights.” This webinar will focus on how tenants and housing advocates can use civic engagement to drive lasting change.

TITR is a national program dedicated to providing renters and community leaders with the tools they need to advocate for safe, stable, and affordable housing.

The October 30, 4:00 pm ET webinar will be co-hosted by the TITR and NLIHC’s Our Homes, Our Votes campaign and will explore how tenants and housing advocates can use civic engagement to drive lasting change. A legal expert will join the conversation to unpack the recent Supreme Court hearing on Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, explaining what’s at stake for fair representation and community power. Participants will also hear from partners in the field sharing best practices and lessons learned from Our Homes, Our Votes’ recent report, Turning Renters into Voters: Lessons in Engaging Low-Income Communities, which highlights successful strategies to expand civic participation nationwide.

As NLIHC continues to meet the moment by registering, educating, and mobilizing low-income renters and affordable housing advocates to vote, this conversation will equip attendees with practical strategies and tools to strengthen democracy from the ground up.
