Definition of Affordability and Income
NLIHC seeks to ensure that rents are affordable to each household, and that federal data accurately reflect housing costs.
Federal Home Loan Bank
NLIHC supports better income targeting in the FHLB's Affordable Housing Program, and its eventual use as a funding source for the National Housing Trust Fund.
Foreclosure
We educate the public about renters’ rights when landlords face foreclosure, and advocate for the those rights being strengthened and made permanent in law.
