Now Available: Resources from 9/18 Tenant Talk Live

In this week’s “Tenant Talk Live” webinar, participants heard from Linda Couch, the vice president of housing and aging services policy at LeadingAge, an association of nonprofit aging services and other mission-driven organizations serving older adults. Linda discussed HUD programs designed to assist older adults, shedding light on valuable resources for locating housing options for members of this demographic. Attendees were also presented with a comprehensive overview of data demonstrating the stark housing cost burdens faced by older adults.

In addition to providing insights into the diverse array of HUD housing initiatives aimed at serving this vital population, the webinar offered guidance on where to turn for support in helping older adults navigate the complexities involved in attaining stable housing or conducting home modifications.

NLIHC’s next webinar will take place on November 6 at 6 pm ET and will focus on Section 811, a program that helps people with disabilities obtain housing. Register for the session here. As always, if you have a topic you would like to propose or want to be a speaker in an upcoming webinar, please e-mail Sid Betancourt at [email protected].
